[CLIENT] Spectator mode still not working 5.2

I have noticed that spectating games for me haven't been working for me and a handful of people since a few months ago. I've tried spectating on Mac and Windows and neither work. However i do know a couple of my friends that are able to spectate but i am unable to. It will show a pop-up of either "Unable to download spectator data. The game will now exit." or "Connection to spectator server failed. The game will now exit." . I have once managed to spectate but it was extremely laggy and freezed up every minute and later on it just disconnected me. I hope this gets fixed quickly. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked if the spectator client is allowed in your Firewall, and that the ports for it are open?

I'm also having this same problem ran a full repair and a reinstall still happened even with my firewall disabled. I've already got every port for league cleared through my router, so its not that.

Edit: Also before it gives that error 50:50 chance that it goes not responding then pops the error or it just pops the error immediately.

I'm having the same problem, ever since patch 5.2.... Every time i try to spectate, all the summoners load to 100%, then nothing happens for a few minutes, then I get the error message "Unable to download spectator data. The game will now exit."

Nothing has changed about my setup or network in any way, just this patch.

Will try reinstalling client soon
