Just started happening today. As soon as the client switches from the interface for logging in to the default logged in interface, it causes my computer to completely freeze, requiring a hard reset. Just started happening today. No idea why.

Same thing is happening to me. I was playing just fine earlier then it just started happening.

I myself have been experiencing something similar; while my computer does not crash it remains unable to do anything for the first 10-60 seconds after logging on. This includes launching my browser, virus scanning, etc. In addition to this, the game often fails to load anything in the "home" area such as whats new in the shop, matches going on that I'm able to spectate, etc. I've had no luck using the repair feature or launching the game as an administrator and will begin seeking help if nothing changes after Riot's next patch.

we have nearly the same system, it appears to be a glitch between the new windows update and league. I am not 100% on this though.
i am also having this problem i have a newer toshiba laptop with beats built in and as soon as i login everything freezes including mouse and nothing loads and everything within an open browser stops playing (music from youtube) please fix id like to play ;c
Exact same issue has started occurring for me today also.
Using a Dell Inspiron 17R with Windows 8.1. Intel i3 4GB ram Intel integrated graphics 4000
To further clarify, as soon as the I have finished logging in after inputting my login details, the landing page appears. Before any of the content on the landing page gets a chance to load the screen freezes completely. (can't even move my mouse) I have tried waiting for a while to see if the freeze would fix itself but have inevitably had to resort to a hard shutdown.
HELP US
