Kayle Ultimate Bug

I was recently in a game and the Kayle was able to keep attacking with the Ultimate still on her. Initially the Kayle Ultimate stopped all attacks; however, once the swords fell Kayle began attacking. Now when the swords of Kayle's Ultimate fall and she began attacking I assumed her ultimate was gone, but Kayle was still immune to damage. I re-watched the replay several times and it appears that when the swords fall and Kayle Starts attacking again, the ultimate buff the prevents all incoming damage is still on kayle for another 1 - 1.5 seconds. Is this normal or a bug?

If I recall correctly that is how it works for her. She makes a allied champ or herself invulnerable for 2/2.5/3 seconds, and after a cast time of 1.5 seconds for the damage portion of the ult she can attack again. which gives her depending on ultimate level .5 - 1.5 seconds to attack while allied champion or herself is still invulnerable.

I'm pretty sure there's always been a short window after new Kayle's ult does damage in which she can attack but is immune to actions. If not always, definitely for quite a while.
