5.14 Mac Gameplay bug

Hi. I have been playing League for a few months now and have loved my experience so far. However, something new has come up in the new patch that has made my gameplay experience rather frustrating. Ever since patch 5.14, the game will randomly make the screen into a letterbox style with low graphics. When i try to fix this in settings, the champions, hud, letters, chat, and minions become very tiny and the experience becomes even worse. I am on a OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2 and I hope that this problem is resolved. Thanks.

Sorry, letterbox was the incorrect word. I meant to say that the screen is in a 4:3 ratio, not widescreen like the game normally is.

I have had to reinstall three times since this issue occurred this Friday. It is becoming very frustrating to randomly find your game nearly unplayable as theres either a black box around the gameplay making it hard to see or very tiny icons, hud, and champions. I hope this issue is responded soon or I may never play the game again, as it is very frustrating.

To clarify, I try to change the game from it's annoying and random 4:3 aspect ratio, crappy graphics and crammed in environment by changing the settings in the esc menu. I try to "restore default" change from "windowed" to "fullscreen"... However, this only makes things worse. While the graphics are clearer and it is changed to wide screen, the champions, lettering, hud, minions--basically anything that isn't summoner's rift--is extremely tiny, my game starts to lag and it is near impossible to know what is going on. I spoke to someone in a Co-op v AI game who said they had the same issue, so i am not alone.
