Vi's Q increases my ping when cast

Every time i would go to dash my ping would raise from its normal 95ish ping to like 250, never lag the rest of the game but every time i would Q my ping would raise. Seemed illogical to me so i tested it a bunch in base and sure enough every time the ping would raise. Still makes no sense to me how it could affect my internet connection, but maybe you guys can make sense of it, I'm just calling it like i see it.
