Client bug. Game won't launch after hitting Launch, just closes out and doesn't launch.

I don't think anybody else has this EXACT problem, but, what happens is that:

1: Open client. 2: Hit launch. 3: Wait (2-7 minutes) 4: Nothing happens from it.

This has been happening for almost a week now, and it's happened every single time i try to open it. I'm VERY mad because of this, and i really want to play!

EDIT: Also, i should note that i have tried deleting files, going to the source league folder and running the launchers in there, and deleting client updates and re-installing, if all else fails, will complete re-install.

C:>Riot Games>League of Legends>RADS>projects and delete the lol_launcher and lol_patcher folders and it WILL start right up! Rengar

I had the same problem, it is an issue with how the launch client jumps to the in-game client. The only solution that worked for me was a complete reinstall.

IF YOU WANT A BIT MORE DEATAIL:

What I did when launching, before hitting play, was open up task manager. Inside task manager I went into processes and located the League Client processes. When I clicked Launch, the game client Processes appeared, only to disappear with no trace. This showed me that something was wrong and prompted me to reinstall.

TL;DR The action for the Client to open never went through. All you gotta do is reinstall.

Try going to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends and running lol.launcher.admin.exe - if prompted for admin rights, hit "YES". Does the same issue occur?

Sooo....Pretty much tried reinstalling for the third time now. No positive outcome; the client disappears after i hit Launch, LOL processes don't appear in task manager.

uhm... I tried all of the fixes reinstall... fixing... admin.... deleting files.... uhm using internet explorer but nothing works for me. although what I do to open my game is I open it like 20 times and hopefully it goes to the log in screen and lets me log in. if u guys have another idea please tell me. Also ,riot, if u guys can bring out a South African region..... that would be super duper for a lot of people who are getting 197 above ping constant at the moment. also dunno why airtime payments are out now if u guys can bring that back would also be super. thx (=^^=)____

Once I pressed launch nothing came up so i was like screw it So i launced steam up then soon came up the login Steam helped me log in to lol

Listen, I think this problem is caused by Curse. Just exit curse and it should launch.

I'm having an issue with league after i hit launch it launches but then nothing loads even after 20-30 min of waiting it wont load up the place to login.

I had the same problem and it took a couple of days for me to figure out a solution. After searching for a while I found out about riot's Hextech Repair Tool (google for the download). It basically told me what the problem was and why it wasn't launching. I realized that my windows wasn't updated to the most recent version which is mandatory for the new client. After updating my windows to the latest version, it set my internet explorer back to the default settings which included proxy settings. Since LoL runs off internet explorer regardless of your default browser the solution was clear from here. So from there all I had to do was turn off my proxy settings and run LoL as admin and it opened up for me. If you still have problems with getting to the login page and/or don't want to download the Hextech Repair Tool you could check out riot's "bug splat and game crashes" page. https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201761974

TL;DR make sure you have the latest version of windows and that your internet explorer settings isn't preventing the client from opening.

I had this problem last night. Unfortunately I have crappy net so I didn't have time to try the other fixes that required files to be re-downloaded. This is what I did and I got back on with no problem.

Changed servers. (but like I said, crap net. 200mb patch. So I didn't wait for the thing to download)
Changed back to my server and closed the launcher.
Deleted logs folder. I have no idea if this is necessary. This was just me being on the safe side for the server swap.
Ran league. It searched for files for maybe 2 minutes and then I heard the Ding.

After that, I pressed launch and the game opened no problem. Yay.

Not sure if anyone is still having this problem, but what worked for me was going into C: Riot Games>League of Legends>RADS>projects and deleted everything except for lol_client_air and lol_client_config_na and it worked like a charm.

Hi, I know the topic is a bit old, but I found a solution that worked for me event after trying EVERYTHING on the internet (deletting files, uninstall/reinstall, admin...etc) Before you open League, just open Task Manager and stop RTSS.exe and RTSSHook64.exe. You just need to do it again when you restart your computer.

It solved the issue when I was clicking Launch in the launcher, a black window poped for like half a second then nothing happened. Hope it can help someone! :D
