Retrieving data from server

Ever since last patch I keep getting this every time I queue. It happens almost every first queue, occasionally lasting for several more queues, eventually leading to a temporary suspension from queuing again in addition to a black screen with the pop-up retrieving data from server after clicking accept into the game leading to a dodge. I keep re-queuing and most of the times it works. Seriously wtf is going on?

Hi gleemaster2000,

This sounds like a network issue causing the client to not communicate clearly with the server.

As a first step I would advise you try some basic network troubleshooting such as:

Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in again to clear any active or hung connections
Close any background programs that may be interfering with LoL
If wireless, try wired
If wired, try wireless (if possible)
Try temporarily disabling your security software to see if it is any different - some security products can block connections

These are only basic steps - if issues persist after trying these steps, I'd advise posting in the Help and Support forum for further help :-)
