Kayn - E expiration cancels Q

If you try to cast Q immediately before your E expires, you will begin the dash but immediately stop when the effect of your E ends. The second part of Q doesn't go off and it eats the cooldown. Seems to happen more the closer the Q cast is to the end of your E effect.
