Does this happen often? (Game vanished off the face of the earth)

I queued up for a game as normal - Summoner's Rift Normal Draft 5v5. The bans happened, the picks happened... It was any other game, really. During the loading screen, I noticed we were all at 100% except the enemy Yasuo, who stayed at 0% for a while before reaching 60%. About 30 seconds later, it kicked me out and told me to check my internet connection.

Now... Everything else was working - Twitch, the League wiki, even the client and friend list. No matter how many times I tried to reconnect, it kept giving me that error message. I closed the game, checked with task manager to make sure no processes were running, and even tried to restart the computer.

Eventually... The client just stopped saying I was in-game. It's not even in my match history. What happened here? Did this happen to all the players in that one game? (Also, forgive me if this is the wrong forum)
