Ezreal Can E out of a Ryze W?

Our Mid Lane was Ryze, theirs was AP Ezreal. Whenever Ryze would root him, he could just E out of it. He didn't have tenacity, and he wasn't timing the his Arcane Shift before the Rune Prison. He would be locked in but still be able to move away from Ryze's other abilities. This was clearly a bug in the way Arcane Shift works with Rune Prison.

I'm not sure if this is possible in other types of snares, Morg and Lux, but clearly is not as intended.

Hes able to e out of knockups like yasuo's windwall and blitz's pull and his fist. many other ones too, its all about timing.

Ezreal's E is more like a small channel. So yes, if he begins casting during W he can warp out.
