Since his w indicates "Galio _shields _an ally Champion", but this didn't count shield and can't touch off Athene's Unholy Grail passive that healing ally.

is a great item for Galio, if Riot can let his w,Bulwark count as a shield like Zilean's ult counted as healing, this will be wonderful :>
Because the wording and visuals on Bulwark is incredibly misleading. It is not actually a shield in any way, it just increases the targets resistances. The only healing done is on Galio, and Athenes doesn't work on self heals.
Zilean's ult is actually a heal. The target's HP is healed from 0 to whatever amount based on rank and AP. It is just delayed and given the fancy GA visuals.
Yeah I think that would make galio a little bit more viable.
They need to change the tooltip on Bulwark to remove the word 'shield' from it. Just say it grants the target bonus armor/mr. But logically, there is no shield, so of course the new Athene's passive doesn't work.
Things like ROA, Protobelt, Abyssal, and Visage are much better for Galio now that Athene's is out of his reach.
