i am so tired of this happening to me, ive had to re download the game numerous times just to get around the 33% mark. and at this point i feel like its useless to keep re downloading it.. is there any legit solutions? if not i think im just going to quit league. lol its just too annoying to deal with.
I'm dealing with the same issue, tried everything that Riot recommends but if you go there you'll notice 30 out of over 200 found it helpful so you know that advice is worthless.

a couple patches ago i had the same problem. went 6 days without being able to play because it wouldnt work. what i had to do was open the league file its self. go to the rads folder, go to the projects file, then the lol_patcher, then releases, next 0.0.0.21, then deploy, next scroll down and you will see two applacations 1 will be "lol patcher.eve" and the other one will be "lolpatcherUx.eve" MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THE FIRST ONE!!!!, now it will manualy patch your client. only problem is it will take around 3-4 hours to scan all of the files (around 20,000) your just going to have to sit threw it.
this is the only way i was able to fix it. and every time it needs patched i have to do this system. and it takes forever but its better than playing smite ;D

mine keeps loading up to 4000 files and says there is an error, this shit is getting annoying as hell. FIX YOUR GAME RIOT.
I have the same problem, but oddly enough the fix is super easy. When it's stuck on 33%, open the settings tab at the top right then click the cancel button on the settings tab. I do this a few times and the loading bar gets unstuck every time. No idea why or if it works for anyone else but give it a try; you might get lucky.

I've had the same problem. No matter what. Every patch this happens. I don't understand what's going on.
Scanning 10k files still nothing stuck at 33%, a lot of people say to wait it out so I will continue letting it run on its own and we'll see.

I had the same problem gave riot all my info and they still havent gotten back to me after they received it all so yea GG eveeryone
This fix helped me. Go to Riot Games/LeagueofLegends/rads/projects/lollauncher/releases. Then open up the latest release which is now 0.0.0.237 and delete the S_OK. Relaunch league of legends and repair it. Also repairing it is faster than re downloading it
I don't understand why Riot have to scan my league files 3 times... Even after the Patch 5.3 update. I am sick of waiting 4 hours each time for this shit to be scanned. Now I am on 27k files scanned, yes, now.
I just developed this problem. Bumping this up.
this worked for me, I restarted my computer ...and tried starting the game again... and it started working... out of the blue... for no apparent reason... like nothing was wrong. Of course thats just me, I tend to leave my computer running for over a week without shut downs. I would assume most people are more responsible computer owners than me in that respect. I still think this is annoying, still think riot should have this stuff taken care of BEFORE they release the patches, but since my s**t is fixed, I no longer have any rights to be upset about this. I wish everyone luck on fixing the problem .__.
I Can't play league at all and it's making me angry. Patch is stuck at 33%, reinstalled it and it worked fine but next day it was broken again..
