League of Legends wont open on Mac 2019

Whenever I fresh install League of legends it opens, patches, and runs fine, but then if I have to close it it doesn't re-open after restarting the computer. It runs again if I reinstall, but I dont want to have to wait for it to patch every time I want to play League. Anyone else run into this problem?

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 with Mojave Version 10.14.6

Broken, it is.

Dualboot an OS actually meant for games (and get far better performance as a bonus), riot has bigger problems right now than fixing a client next to nobody uses.
