Garen's Decisive Strike and Nasus' wither interaction

Garen's Decisive Strike (Q) removes any slows affecting him, but for Nasus' Wither (W) it doesn't only remove the slow, but also the attack speed reduction, is this supposed to happen?

EDIT: I guess same thing happens with Nunu's Ice Blast (E).

Yes, this is intended. A few years back, Riot made it so that attack speed slows are treated the same as move speed slows, so anything that removes slows will remove both.
