100% occurrence since the latest patch, the first Q performed on an enemy champion causes a massive lag spike for all players in game. After that, Q has no effect on the performance. Maybe it doesn't load the abilities effect until used first or something?
Performing Q at the alter or against minions first has no effect, only against champions so far.
Just experienced that with my most recent game. Her first q almost caused us first blood cause of that lag. XD
I've noticed the exact same thing. At first I thought it was because my roommate and I were always playing on the same connection, but it only happens with Sona and is independent of network.

Last time I played as Sona, the graphics glitched without hitting a champion in aram.
Yep works on every map too. I was playing corki and Sona Q'd their lucian and suddenly both Lucian and I were standing face to face with each other hahah. He dashed and I valkyried away.
