Mac Glitch results in me getting a 10 minute AFK queue

I have installed League of Legends on a Mac and when my match loads my camera is locked on the fountain and I have to double-click everything. The ONLY solution that I have found is leaving the game and reconnecting, which is a huge disadvantage as minions are already in lane by the time I finally get going at base. In my most recent game, I was reconnecting, only to have my client crash, and then have my teammates choose to surrender . To add insult to injury, I tried to play again and my queue timer was at 10 minutes. Is there any solution to the Mac platform that you could offer? If not, could you at least lift my AFK timer?
