Illaoi's E being blocked by projectiles?

Is this intentional? The only champ that really ever blocks my grab is in both small in mega form, because of how he spams his Q(so it happens A LOT when playing against him). So I decided to look it up on reddit and others also have had the grab blocked by dumb things like a Bola Barrel Axes etc.. everything is minions? what up
