So, let me explain the fight. Get pulled in by a Blitzcrank, ulted by said Blitz, all while being smite'd by the new jungle item. Somewhere in that mess of a fight, I Trynd ult'd and Blitz Silence+the smite killed me in the middle of the Trynd ult. Just thought I should report.

Nope, Tryndamere can ult through any form of cc. This is a bug caused by the new Smite. It can kill Trynd during his ult.
SilentMercenary1 votesNo tryndamere can ult during CC. What I think is the issue is that the smite does true damage and ignored tryndamere ult at the moment and that could be the bug. Smiting tryndamere when he ults can kill him?
