Irelia q vs. Cait trap

I was playing irelia and q'd to a caster minion that had a caitlyn trap directly behind at least 500 units away. I ended up setting off the trap and getting rooted even though i never went through the space that the trap was on. Seems to be the same sort of glitch as the irelia/blitz glitch or the lee sin/cait trap glitch.
