Disenchanting champions doesn't give me blue essence

so I have recently been saving up in preparation for sylas and I received a glorious champion capsule when I opened it I didn't get anyone I wanted so I began disenchanting them this is when I noticed that it wasn't getting any blue essence from them and the sum of the addition of this blue essence would have been enough to unlock sylas when he was released. does anyone have any way of fixing this, I have already tried disconnecting and reconnecting.
