champion select bug

so i was taking a ranked game, when there finally where a match I pressed enter. in the champion select I selected tf and waited for the timer to go of, but as the timer hit 0 it stayed in the champion select. I couldn't do anything, and when i wrote something in the chat it didn't pop op, the only thing i probably could do was to leave game which I didn't (because then I would be banned). so I just waited and waited. at the end I briefly saw that i had to ban an champion and 0 seconds to do it, and i also saw all that i tried to write. then i got kicked out of the match and i got a 5 minutes ban. this have happened to me twice now, does anybody know what this is and how to solve it?
