Getting silenced and damaged while in Vlad's blood pool in URF?

I was playing urf today, which is super fun but i found myself still getting damaged by draven's axes while i was in the blood pool meaning that he was still able to lock onto me and the soraka was still able to silence me. I have no idea if the silence can affect vlad while he is in his blood pool. But i know that I shouldn't be able to be targeted by draven and damaged while in the blood pool regardless of the game mode.
