Edge Of Night Shield Bug

During ARAM, I was playing against a Karthus as Pantheon. While i activated my Edge Of Night shield, I waited the initial 1.5 seconds until the shield is up,then proceeded to try and walk through Karthus' wall without being slowed,however my shield from edge of night did not prevent the slow from his wall. Is this a bug?
