On AP Ezreal, his Mystic Shot says " Ezreal fires a bolt of energy in a line that will deal physical damage and apply on-hit effects to the first enemy it hits. If it strikes an enemy unit, all of Ezreal's cooldowns will be reduced by 1 second. " There is a problem with this though if you build Luden's Echo. If you hit a creep or champion ( Anything really ) your Luden's Echo will NOT proc on the hit. AD Ezreal works fine though, because if you Mystic Shot with Static Shiv on, it procs it. Why does it not proc with Luden's Echo? I'm assuming this is a glitch.

It's not a bug, the tooltip specifically states that it deals PHYSICAL DAMAGE and Luden's Echo works when you hit something with MAGICAL DAMAGE(so HIT something with a spell not hit something with an autoattack after you have 100 stacks on Luden's, it's not the same as Shiv).

It's the same reason why his Q doesn't proc Rylai and Liandry and it's not a bug, it's been like that for ages.

I think Riot is saying this is intended behavior. item 3285 applies on Spell Effects, so anything that could apply the slow from item 3116 . To the best of my knowledge, Ezreal's Q can't do that (but does apply on hit, which is why item 3100 is great).

It proc's on-hit and not spell effects.

If you buy a lichbane tho, the magic dmg from lich bane which gets procced by the Q on hit effect will trigger luden via the spell effect of lichbane's magic dmg.

I'm pretty sure the same applies to Gangplank Q. It's something about how they apply on-hit effects, and not spell effects.

"Applies on-hit effects" basically states it is treated as an auto attack and not a spell. Same case with Rylai and Liandry, Q does not proc either. Statikk Shiv applies on auto attacks so it works on Q.

No ludens procs off SPELL damage NOT magic damage, but ez Q counts as an autoattack not spell damage.
