"undo" button undoing healing done

When playing Quinn after receiving near-lethal damage I recalled to the base, and immediately bought Bilgewater Cutlass, but then used the undo button. To my surprise my health bar dropped and I thought I was hit by an Ezreal ult or something so i thought nothing of it. But then in a second game I again recalled and before reaching full health bought BotRK and then refunded it by accident and saw the same phenomenon. So I bought and undid the sale again with the same results, I lost health. This also happened with a 360g dagger. To replicate: 1.play Quinn (not sure if relevant) 2.take damage and recall to base 3.BEFORE healing to full health(not sure if that matters but its what i did) hit Undo after buying Cutlass or BotRK.

(UPDATED:) 1.take damage 2.recall 3.buy item then undo before recovering full health

just tested with Lux on a custom game, tped to turret, took damage, went back, and bought boots, hit 'undo' and did the same thing. Also happened with other items. Hypothesizing its now just any item and character if you buy then Undo while healing it undoes healing.

it works with any campion any item. all healing done after you buy an item and before the undo gets undone

yup, is this intentional gamerguy or is it a bug you think?

I think the reasoning may be to prevent a player buying say, a giants belt, then refunding it and keeping the 380hp for a faster heal at base.

Not sure if this is doable, but also buying a ruby crystal for example to survive the ezreal ult that was about to hit you at base and kill you, then refunding it. Although in this case I'd hope taking damage prevents you from using undo (which sucks if you buy a big item you didn't want by mistake and take a global to the face).

This has been around since forever.

Refunding items more or less rewinds time as to avoid lingering item effects and what not.
