Skin Unlock possible bug

Was playing ARURF and I got this message saying Frozen Terror Nocturne was unlocked for this game. I went to go check and it wasn't, I had thought someone activated a skin boost but there was no message indicating so. No one else got the message but me, and I should add that the game prior to this, someone did activate a skin boost. Maybe it was a residual effect from a previous skin boost?

Edit: Forgot to mention it also happened in the game after this one, too.
