champ unlock not implemented

Yea it's bugged. Cannot purchase champions with IP points with the beta client. I reverted back to the normal client and was able to again.

just go to the store instead of collection, you should be able to buy champs in the store

Yes same here, but a assume its something to do with the new patches/fixes/season e.t.c, it would be nice to know when things will get back to normal.

okay guy i figured it out.. in the login screen. bottom corner it says launch legacy client, by clicking that itll remove you from betta and begin to update to the older stage. nobody likes betta anywho. much better now that went back to the legacy client, fixed the champ problem

I had the same problem. I JUST NOW (2/12/17) opened up LoL, in the bottom right corner click 'Launch Legacy 'somethin' and that fixed the problem for me. It has to update when you do this but it only took about 2 minutes. Hope this helps ya!

I found it out. Basically, if you're having trouble in the new client, you click store, then from there go to either Champions or Skins, and you have to specifically buy from there and it should work! Hope this helps ~
