Poacher's Knife doesn't work with Xin Zhao?

In this match that I have linked, I started jungling Xin Zhao with the Poacher's Knife , however i ended up switching to the other jungling item (trail blazer or something like that) . I switched it mid game because I realized that I was not getting the cool down reduction or the extra money that you get when you smite the large monster. Please have a look at it I really wanted to try out the new jungle and I was really upset with the fact that it wouldn't work. Thanks again hope you guys can fix it :)
