Aloha Friends, Blue Essence and Champ Capsules givin me the runaround

Created a new account. Received first champ capsule. Capsule is no where to be found in swag section. Receiving Blue Essence and those Champo Permanent I assume are designed for low levels to rack up random champs for nominal fees. It just doesn't say how much essence it will take from you. And when I use one of the permanents ALL my BE gets dropped from the pot. Is that supposed to happen? ALSO when I disenchant a Champo shard, or one of the special Permanent ones, it will reset my BE to 0 before adding the new essence, instead of stacking on what's there. Just to clarify, I had 5400, disenchanted a Garen shard for like 260, and then only had 260, instead of the expected 5660.

I am cool with the Permanents dropping BE if that's how it works, that seems a fair trade, even if it's not telling me it's worth essence. 2-3 for your BE pool? Seems reasonable, got a few high end doods and gals.

The Essence resetting though, that's definitely concerning and saddening.

Anyone at Riot or any fellow Summoners have any knowledge/advice/love to spare?
