Kalista bond bug: Cannot bond with support

Terrible video, I know. I have no screen cap or league replay software running.

Basically, all game if I tried to bond with Thresh, it would go on a 10 second cd, then act like I never gave it to him. However, also as shown, to me it shows him as bonded. My teammates told me the 'item' was not in my inventory, yet you can clearly see it and me trying to use it.

As thresh would enter the bond radius, I would momentarily see the bond form, then it would go away. If I cast my ult (unfortunately I did not get this on video), thresh would disappear from my screen as if it were working, but to the rest of my team, thresh was still there. Also, he could not click or do anything while my ult was 'in use'.
