Poppy (Steadfast Presence) VS Hecarim (Devastating Charge)

I play poppy quiet often and I have notice time and time again that whenever Hecarim is in the middle of his Devastating Charge and I activate my Steadfast Presence it stops his charge from hitting anyone within my little circle of protection as it should, however the Stun effect of Devastating Charge affects Poppy even if she is not the designated target of Hecarim's Devastating Charge. If this is the way it is suppose to be then I will accept that but I feel that since Steadfast Presence stops (most) dash abilities that the status effects following them should not take effect either.
