Launcher Kernel Not Closing

When I went to log out of league the Launcher would not close....all other functions worked properly (eg Launch game, store, minimize, etc.) but the only way I was able to get the game to close was by right clicking the League icon on the taskbar and selecting close program. Several of my friends experienced the same issue at the same time as well
