Client froze when match found

After starting matchmaking in a normal 5v5 draft and accepting the match found, the client froze. My screen jumped from the lobby to my profile while it continued to play the champ select audio in the background. I heard the count down for the first champ select screen and then the count down for the ban but I was still froze in my profile. With no other options responding I had to shut the client down via task manager and logged back in....with a penalty of course. Client works fine after logging back in.
