yuumi's w not working on pyke

I played an ARAM as yuumi and whenever I used my w on my friend who was playing pyke his ad wouldn't move and when I put my mouse over my w it said that I was giving him 12/14 adaptative force (from the 12+12% and 14+14%) and it wasn't giving him any ap either so my w wasn't working at all. (even though it was working well on all my other teammates)
