Key Issues

So whenever I press control + anything else, my mouse has a chance to just stop working in terms of clicking either right our left mouse button. This only occurs about 15-20% of the time, but when it occurs the only solution is to alt+tab, then tab back in. I don't know when this started, probably about a month or two ago, but it has been happening more and more. Any help would be appreciated.
