retrieving data from server

I que'd for a ranked game, then que popped. I clicked accept, my league client turns black and says "Retrieving data from sever" I was last pick, my friend on skype said, so basically, I ended up not picking a champion, and losing LP because of this stupid bug. This has never happened to me, my internet is always perfect, with no hiccups or anything.
