Spells not casting, Could not recall

I just finished playing a game in which I was Katarina. 3/4 of the way through the game I was no longer able to recall. No matter what I did i could not recall. I even switched the button and clicked on the recall manually. I also could not use my ultimate or Q ability. This game was likely going to be a win, but we ended up losing because I could not cast all of my abilities. It sucks even worse that I am in series. I really would like this to never happen again. I'm not sure what the problem was. I even tried reconnecting to the game and that did not help.
