Hi all,
I've noticed that in late game, sometimes Vi's Q ability doesn't work anymore. The ability just stops working and can't be activated. This bug does regularly shows up, however I've had games that this wasn't the case. I haven't found out yet what this is causing. I hope I'm not the only one ;)
You're definitely not the only one. As a Vi main it's popped up relatively frequently for me though I haven't been able to pinpoint a certain cause (perhaps dying after having your Q interrupted with CC?) and I've posted in the bug threads/sent support tickets to Riot about this issue for a while. I hoped it was fixed with patch 4.17, but apparently not :/
I've added comments to this effect to several bugposts on Varus and similar situations. Agree with Naito - think it has something to do with CC and death before Q completes.
I saw a rioter mention that if you switch Q to smart cast it fixes the bug,
Ive been having the same problems with Vi, I would say it happens roughly 30% of the time of me playing Vi. At some point, the Q just stops working and the only way to fix is to restart the game, and unfortunately, that option gets eliminated. So, generally, I have to finish of the game without the Q, which is ... terrible, especially when that ability is needed. I hope they fix it soon.
Ahh I didn't see this post, I just posted about this too. I originally thought it was just an ARAM bug. The 2 times I have gotten Vi in ARAM this has happened to me when the games last long. Haven't really gotten around to playing her much in normals lately. When I try to tell my teammates they just think I am lying. You have to smartcast the ability, use it once and then you can take it off smartcast and it will work fine. Hopefully they fix this.
