Air client freezes computer after login

Since about 9pm last night I have been unable to play due to the client crashing. Right after I login, the client loads no visuals, my mouse freezes and everything on the screen freezes. audio will keep going (not league's) but the visuals remain frozen and no buttons are usable on my computer. I've repaired the client and rebooted several times with no success, trying to reinstall now.

Intel core i5-3570k cpu @3.4ghz 8gb ram 64 bit OS windows 8

Happens to me too. After every login my computer freezes, I always go ctrl+alt+delete and then after 15-20 sec it resumes to work but it is really annoying.
