Drops from 200fps down to 8fps

During the game (both live and PBE) the frame rate will randomly drop from 200+fps down to an average of 12 (8 at the worst). The fps isn't dependent on what's on the screen seeing as how it drops at both teamfights and just walking to lane. My laptop's specs: Intel i7-7700hq 2.8GHz Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 GDDR5 6.0 GB 16GB RAM I think it's safe to say that my laptop isn't too low end to run league, but are there any solutions that you guys have found? As it is league is unplayable because of these issues.
