dont watch /allchat in the launcher

today i wanted to play league, but it had to update. i decided to click the link for /allchat during my wait. watched the video, and with my update status at the top at the same time. it got to 100% right around the time the video ended. i clicked to watch the previous episode, and the whole "league box"(the launcher) looked like it changed to youtube. i hit backspace to see if it would take me back, and it did.

once i was returned to the original page, seeing the free champs and such, the status bar had disappeared. i clicked the x in the top right corner and started it again. my game decided to scan all the files i have, and is presently reinstalling some of these files. around 3000, presently. is this part of the normal update? i had already updated to 100% before this.
