Promo Series Cancels Before the 2 Wins or Losses Completes

I just experienced this and I have also seen others go through this unfortunate bug. The bug occurs once you have already qualified for your promotional series and have played one or two games, but have not completed the series (One win or loss, or perhaps a win and a loss), in both cases you still need to play one or two more games to complete the series. The bug occurs when you log out and decide to not to complete your series at that time. The next morning the player logs on and the series have been recorded as a loss and the player is back at ~84 lp (which is consistent with losing your series).

I assume Rito does not intend to force a player to finish the promotional series the very same day the player starts the series. Please help me understand if it is not a bug or bring attention to this problem that many players are experiencing. Thank you
