stuck on loading screen

hey guys, i havent played in a while and just downloaded the new patches. everything was running smoothly till right after champ select. i was stuck on 8% while everyone completed their loading. And then i was able to hear the game starting like the spawning and people messaging but i was STILL STUCK ON THE LOADING SCREEN. when i right clicked different areas i could hear my champ say stuff and start moving as well. I just couldnt get to see the map etc. please help!!
