Not Able to Download League of Legends, Please Help!

I have been trying to reistall League of Legends on my laptop since September of 2014, and have had no luck. It is not a problem with my internet connection. I have tried installing on my wireless at home, at school and using an Ethernet cord to make it easier for my computer to connect. I can download the patcher, but I can leave it for hours and it will give me an error message that says the install was unsuccessful and will exit out of the launcher. I have tried uninstalling and reistalling the game at least four times now. I have also tried starting the patcher using "run as administrator", which made it seem like it was running better, but I still got the error message and it kicked me out of the launcher. I have also tried making sure my firewall isn't trying to block out League of Legends and it's sister programs, and still no luck.

I've gotten to the point where I have started deleting things I dont need on my computer, like old music to make room in case its an issue with space. I have deleted more than 5GB of space, and still nothing. I'm not sure what else to try, or if im the only one who hasnt been able to download the game for months now.

I just wanna play League with my roomate :( and not just wait till he goes to sleep and use his computer!

Since running as an admin seemed to help, have you tried launching lol.launcher.admin.exe? I used to have a problem with a new computer in downloading lol, tried several times but it refused to work, running the admin launcher instead of the actual made it work.

how do I launch that launcher?

And this is a computer I have had league on before. It only stopped working as soon as they did the last update last year.

find the folder Riot Games, then the folder League of Legends, in there, you'll find two launchers and a ton of other junk. click lol.launcher.admin.exercise Hope it works! :D If not, could you tell us what the error messages say exactly?

Okay. Tried it again with the launcher that you suggested. Here is the error message I keep getting.

"chrome.exe - Application Error

The exception Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x6ebd9aca.

Click on OK to terminate the program."

I'm not sure if I its some weird add on that I might have picked up on my chrome browser that is stopping something from coming through? I download the patcher off of chrome. This message is just too vague for me to be able to do anything about it. I have no idea what to do at this point. The patcher will either stop running when this message shows, or stay for a little while until i have the chance to press okay. My internet is also periodically dropping internet when the launcher is running, even when i plug it directly into the ethernet adapter.

Hopefully we can get this figured out, and thank you for your help so far. Sorry it took me so long to respond!

I searched up your error for awhile, and it seems to be a common problem, not just for League. I came up with these two articles http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230176 and http://www.windowserrorhelps.com/error-code-0x80000003-solutions-fix-error-code-0x80000003-effectively I'd recommend you try the first article first. Hope it works! :D

I did end up downloading something that cleared my registry errors, which helped a little but not much. I went to a computer help desk at my college, and while they were trying to fix a connection error they found that I was missing drivers for my ethernet and wireless internet connections, and although I updated what I had earlier I didn't know anything was missing. Tried downloading League last night AND IT WORKED!!!!

Back to hanging on the rift, and just in time for urf! Thank you so much for all your help!
