Razer Kraken Pro 7.1 Chroma Causing Quit Unexpectedly Problem

My Mac computer has been able to play League with no issue for awhile now, but today I suddenly got the "League Of Legends Has Quit Unexpectedly" message. I tried restarting my computer and uninstalling and reinstalling LoL, but it didn't fix the issue. I also couldn't figure out what changed on my computer in the last week which could've caused this issue. However, after doing a Google search with Mac Yosemite added within the last month, I found a bug report similar to my problem. It appears that the new Razer Kraken Pro 7.1 Chroma headset that I just received in the mail today has a bug that when the output is set to the headset, the game crashes. I tested it on both my Macbook and iMac with OS Yosemite.

The only temporary fix seems to be to put the sound output back to my computer speaker. I just want to report this again in hopes that there will be a bug fix available soon. I'd really love to use my new headset with League!

The issue that I'm reporting has also been reported in another discussion in Report a bug titled, "[Mac OS Yosemite] Game Loading Screen (Has quit Unexpectedly)."

I don't know if anyone else still has this problem, but I have a solution (I am using a Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset on a Mac mini running El Capitan).

Go to Applications --> Utilities --> Audio MIDI Setup

Create a Multi-Output Device

  • click '+' on the bottom right-hand corner

Check the box corresponding to your Razer product you want to use. Check the box corresponding to another audio output device

  • My output goes through HDMI which then go to external speakers

Be sure that there is a speaker symbol next to your new Multi-Output device. If not,

  • Right-click on the your new Multi-Output device panel
  • Click 'Use this device for sound output'

To isolate the sound to my headset, I have the volume of my speakers turned all the way down.

Hope this helps.

Also, someone should let the people in the EU thread similar to this one about this. Maybe it will work for them too

Be warned that you will not get the surround sound when doing this. I submitted a ticket to Riot and Razer.

Purchase the Kraken 7.1 Chroma, updated to the latest software, experienced this same problem. Found this thread, and realized this is a long standing issue. Razor Krakens being taken back for refund.

I had the same Problem. I FINALY HAVE A SOLUTION

First, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTvGisXENvI

Tldr: Razer Synapse isnt the real Problem, **AVG is. **

So all you have to do, is add exeptions in AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=de&urlName=How-to-exclude-file-folder-or-website-from-AVG-scanning)

AND EVERYTHING IS GONNA WORK

Just add exepctions for the League of Legends Folder and for Folders of other games that arent working aswell.

Fixed;-)
