Are caits auto attacks sometimes bugged?

I played Caitlyn in a ranked match today and her auto attacks did not seem right to me. When id try to last hit minions the auto attacks didn't hit, or if they did, it didn't show the animation and i just got the gold for it. Or I would just miss the cs completely. I wasn't canceling the animations either it happened even when i just stood there and let her attack freely. She always has bugs i swear
