Unknown Error during champ select

I was recently in my promos and I received an unknown error during champ select which disconnected me from the servers and made me "lag." The timer had run out but nothing was happening. No bans, picks, and even the chat was frozen.

Shortly after, I decided to quit out of the game... However, I was stupid to think that Riot had some sort of system in place for this error... Instead, I lost my promos and lost 10 lp. I also went on low priority queue for 10 minutes. I usually wouldn't fuss about this stuff because I know that Riot is busy with all this other shit and always seem to patch the bugs somehow. However, this particular incident made me furious.

For someone to work their way up to 100 lp and then lose promos because of a system failure is just plain stupid. Either Riot needs to get their heads straight and put some system in place for this error or they should fix this bug so that it never happens to anyone ever again. I infer that this bug or glitch has also been happening to other people... If anyone has been having this particular issue, please comment on this thread so that Riot can get on this problem as soon as possible.
