Possible bug with Morde Ult on Jhin interaction?

Straight from a comment on the Wiki: "Little known fact, if Mordekaiser marks Jhin with his ultimate and Jhin dies when he's on his fourth shot, the Jhin ghost will fire only fourth shots, complete with both guaranteed crits and %missing health damage and no need to reload."

Now I can't really confirm it myself since I'm a friendless idiot, but is it true? And is it a bug or intentional? If it's not true, then please disregard.
