Abilities will not cast

So i recently got my internet back, so that i can play league again. However, i have an issue. during some (most) of my games, i have a problem where my abilities will not cast. I can be out of combat, or in combat, it does not matter. I cannot cast any ability, not even recall. It is not my keyboard, i can type in the game, just not cast any ability. if i click on the ability icon it will cast, but hotkeys will not work, and I have no idea how to fix it. suggestions? Getting pretty frustrated when i die because i cant use my abilities.
