So uhm, I was trying to duo with my partner who was plat 4 last season and I was gold 1. However I am honor 1 and he is above that, he and I cannot play together because it says there's a rank difference, but do you think because it says "last season unranked" on my profile because I was honor 1 and didn't get any rewards and it says plat on his profile, that the client believes I'm not high rank enough?
Same thing happened to me, I attempted to play flex 5v5 with two of my friends and 2 of us were Bronze last season in flex and the third guy wasnt ranked. We get an error saying the same thing that you got. In solo/duo i was gold last season but why would that prevent us from playing flex together now ?

Fix: Play one Game Solo ranked. Now its working (in my Case)!
